Desert Smash, the world’s most recognized celebrity tennis event, returns for its 19th edition, stemming from the impressive La Quinta Resort and Club in La Quinta, California. The day-long tennis tournament, featuring amateur and professional tennis players, a host of celebrities, music, and more, will be held on Tuesday, March 7, 2023. Worlds collide as some of the biggest names in Hollywood and pro tennis get set to hit the court in this charity event. Announced so far are Grammy award-winning singer and songwriter P!nk, who will make her debut at the tournament, joined by American professional tennis player Frances Tiafoe, 2022 Roland Garros, US Open finalist Casper Ruud (Norway), two-time Grand Slam Champion Victoria Azarenka (Belarus), Ukrainian tennis player Marta Kostyuk, and Croatian Donna Vekic.

Prominent DJs will set the tone with lively music, celebrities will be seen trotting along the Red Carpet, and the venue will also host the Desert Smash Village, featuring brands and sponsors showcasing their products. Along with singles matches, Desert Smash is expected to pair celebrities with the pros for doubles matches, followed by the Desert Smash Bash evening after-party and a surprise musical performance at Zenyara.
2023 Desert Smash will stomp off from 10 AM onwards with an on-court LVBL experience, a fast-paced, high-cardio, music-infused tennis party attended by amateurs, touring pros, and celebrities. The tennis exhibition tournament is slated for 2 PM, with celebrity emcees and chair umpires steering proceedings. Attendees can expect on-court special appearances, on-court auctions, fan interactions, and entertaining interviews during the exhibition!
Desert Smash will benefit the Playing For Change Foundation, a non-profit international organization created in 2007 that operates seventeen music programs in thirteen countries. You can read more about it here.
