The Weeknd, Harry Styles, and More Emerge Victorious at the Juno Awards 2023
With ‘Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings’ actor Simu Liu on hosting duties, The Juno Awards of 2023 were held on March 13. The Weeknd became the biggest winner of the night taking home five awards including Artist of the Year and Pop Album of the Year. With his win, the ‘Blinding Lights’ singer has become the second-most awarded winner of all time at the Juno Awards. The Weekend now has a total of 21 Juno Awards, which puts him in a tie with Bryan Adams. Anne Murray leads the pack with 25 wins in her career.
Harry Styles’ ‘Harry’s House’ was named the International Album of the Year at the Junos 2023 while the TikTok Juno Fan Choice Award went to Avril Lavigne. Sam Smith’s ‘Unholy’ feat. Kim Petras was the winner of the Music Video of the Year award, Rock band Arkells were Group of the Year and Michael Bublé won the Adult Contemporary Album of the Year for his Grammy-winning record ‘Higher’ at the Juno Awards 2023. Tate McRae, AP Dhillon, and Tenille Townes were among the performers at this award ceremony.
Bebe Rexha Announces New Album
New music from Bebe Rexha is on the way! The singer-songwriter took to Instagram to announce that her third studio album will be out soon. Titled ‘BEBE,’ the record is scheduled to be released on April 28. Bebe’s debut album ‘Expectations’ featuring the tracks ‘I’m A Mess,’ and ‘Meant to Be,’ a collaboration with country music duo Florida Georgia Line, came out in 2018. She rolled out her thirteen-track sophomore album ‘Better Mistakes’ in 2021. It included collaborations with Doja Cat (‘Baby, I’m Jealous’), Blink-182’s Travis Barker (‘Break My Heart Myself’), Ty Dolla $ign, and Trevor Daniel (‘My Dear Love’).
Last month, the ‘In the Name of Love’ singer released the first song titled ‘Hearts Wants What It Wants’ from her upcoming album. Bebe’s collaboration ‘I’m Good (Blue)’ with dance music titan David Guetta became a HUGE hit. She earned a Best Dance/Electronic Recording Grammy nomination for the track.
Drake to Go On ‘It’s All A Blur’ Tour With 21 Savage
Drake is set to embark on his first tour in five years, with the rapper announcing the dates for his 2023 tour ‘It’s All A Blur’ with frequent collaborator 21 Savage. Their 42-date Arena tour kicks off this summer at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans on June 16. The duo will also stop in Miami, Brooklyn, Atlanta, New York, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas.
Drake and 21 Savage’s collaborative album ‘Her Loss’ came last year two months after the ‘God’s Plan’ rapper’s seventh studio album ‘Honestly, Nevermind.’ 21 Savage’s latest project is a collaboration with Young Nudy.
Taylor Swift Drops Four Unreleased Songs Ahead of The Eras Tour
Taylor Swift fans are in for a treat! The ‘Anti-Hero’ revealed that she would be rolling out 4 unreleased songs ahead of her The Eras Tour which, commences at the State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona with opening acts Paramore and Gayle. “In celebration of The Eras Tour I’m releasing 4 previously unreleased songs tonight at midnight,” Swift wrote on her Instagram Story. She rolled out ‘Eyes Open (Taylor’s Version)’, ‘Safe & Sound (featuring Joy Williams and John Paul White) (Taylor’s Version)’, ‘If This Was A Movie (Taylor’s Version)’, and ‘All Of The Girls You Loved Before.'”
Glendale, a city in Arizona, has temporarily changed its name to “Swift City” for two days in honor of The Eras Tour, which will be held in Glendale on March 17 and 18. International dates of the tour are yet to be announced. The Eras Tour will take the Grammy-winning artist to stadiums across the US, including for 5 dates at the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, 3 shows at the Metlife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, and 3 concerts at the Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts.

I can’t WAIT to see your gorgeous faces out there. It’s been a long time coming 🥰” The Eras Tour is in support of all of Taylor’s albums – ‘folklore,’ ‘evermore,’ and her latest record ‘Midnights.’
FLO Announces New Single ‘Fly Girl’
British girl group Flo has announced a new single titled ‘Fly Girl’ and shared a snippet of the track. They are also set to go on their first North American headline tour next month. The trio comprising of Renée Downer, Jorja Douglas, and Stella Quaresma will have shows in Atlanta, Washington, Philadelphia, Toronto, New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles. They recently won the Brits 2023 Rising Star Award.
The ‘Cardboard Box’ singers also shared a remix of British rapper, and singer-songwriter’s ‘Hide & Seek’ earlier this year. In 2022, FLO rolled out a six-track EP titled ‘The Lead’ in September and released the single ‘Losing You’ in December.
Rosalía and Rauw Alejandro Announce Collaborative EP ‘RR’
A collaborative project from Rosalía and Puerto Rican singer Rauw Alejandro Rauw shared the artwork and tracklist of their upcoming EP ‘RR’.’ This is the first time they have collaborated on a joint EP. ‘RR’ features three tracks – ‘Beso,’ ‘Vampiros,’ and ‘Promesa.’
Rosalía won a Grammy award for Best Latin Rock or Alternative Album for her latest album ‘MOTOMAMI’ this year and was recently honored with the inaugural Producer of the Year award at the Billboard Women in Music Awards. The Spanish singer also took home a Latin Grammy for Album of the Year for MOTOMAMI’ last year. She also released a new single ‘LLYLM’ in January, meanwhile, Alejandro rolled out an eighteen-track album titled ‘SATURNO.’ His latest musical release ‘Como Amiga,’ a collaboration with Chris Wandell, came last month.
Demi Lovato Will Make Directorial Debut With Hulu Documentary on Child Stardom
Demi Lovato is set to debut as a director by co-directing a feature-length documentary ‘Child Star’ (working title), slated to stream exclusively on Hulu next year. The singer-songwriter will direct the documentary which intends to “deconstruct the highs and lows of growing up in the spotlight through the lens of some of the world’s most famous former child stars, including Lovato,” with Nicola Marsh.
The ‘Sorry Not Sorry’ has starred ‘Camp Rock,’ ‘Sonny with a Chance,’ and ‘Glee,’ but this will be their first time as a director. “There is no better film or topic for my directorial debut than this story, which is close to home. Our project sheds light on important messages about growing up in the public eye, learning to protect our boundaries, and becoming active advocates of our own destinies,” Lovato stated. “I’m humbled to be able to learn from the individuals who have lived the unique experience of child stardom and share their stories in our film.” Demi’s latest musical release is ‘Still Alive’ (From the Original Motion Picture Scream VI).
Melanie Martinez Unveils Tracklist for Upcoming Album ‘Portals’
Melanie Martinez’s new album will be out soon! The ‘Play Date’ singer released the lead single ‘Death’ of her upcoming third studio album ‘Portals’ and also shared its tracklist. Martinez rolled out the deluxe edition of her 2019 album ‘K-12’ in 2020. In the same year came a seven-track EP titled ‘After School.’
