Gracing nearly every style of the genre, Culture Shock has gone from a prodigy in 2004 to a drum & bass behemoth thanks to his futuristic and diverse discography, symbolic within one of the UK’s most withstanding genres. After listening to drum & bass on a pirate radio in London as a kid and eventually falling in love with it, Culture Shock honed his craft for a number of years before landing his debut release on the legendary Moving Shadow imprint. The ‘Vega’ EP sent shockwaves across the scene, which led to RAM Records signing him exclusively for the years to come. Transitioning from a hard-edged and hypnotic style of production, [Culture Shock](https://open.spotify.com/artist/6lp2VnIRXXpC9Wz7hSX6RE?si=Gtk07xeETSK3DH1QtiGlsg) has built his trademark sound on the gliding and minimalist trenches of drum & bass. Since signing to RAM Records, we have witnessed some groundbreaking numbers like ‘Troglodyte,’ ‘Bad Red,’ ‘Bunker,’ and ‘East Block,’ among many others, which have made Culture Shock the genre-defining producer that we know today. Culture Shock had a hugely successful 2022, which saw him release his second studio album ‘Sequel,’ which included hits like ‘Deconstruct,’ ‘Visions,’ and ‘Discotheque.’ Along with original material, Culture Shock is also known for his remixing game, an art form where the minimum quality of the reworks has been outstanding. Continuing the trend, he has now dropped another sensational remix for Switch Disco’s new single, ‘React.’ Along with Ella Henderson’s enchanting vocals and Switch Disco’s bouncy house vibe, the highlight of the original is the iconic sample taken from Robert Miles’ ‘Children.’ Tasked with remixing an already famous tune, Culture Shock stuck to his carefully woven minimalist drum & bass craft and did justice to the tune, which we believe only he could have.
