The lawsuit was filed Friday in LA Superior Court by a 24-year-old woman named Jane Roe. In her lawsuit, Oakenfold’s companies Stepanek Management and New Frequency Management, as well as Stepanek Management’s CEO, Paul Stepanek, are alleged to have infringed upon the plaintiff’s employment rights. According to the court filing, the plaintiff reported the harassment to New Frequency Management CEO Stepanek, who asked him to sign a non-disclosure agreement a few days later. In order to continue working for the company, the plaintiff says she was forced to sign an NDA. As a result, she was reassigned to other clients and had her hours drastically reduced. The lawsuit filed by Jane Roe now seeks over $25,000 in damages for retaliation, harassment, discrimination, failure to prevent harassment and discrimination, and wrongful termination. We hope that this case will continue to shed light on the prevalence of such misconduct and encourage others who have experienced similar acts to reach out and seek justice.” Paul Oakenfold, for over three decades, has been one of the most renowned names in dance music thanks to his work with some of the biggest names in pop music, which earned him a nomination for the prestigious Awards’ 52nd edition. It appears Oakenfold has been removed from the roster of artists on New Frequency Management’s website, but no comments have been made by New Frequency Management or Paul Stepanek Management.
