Conjured by Sydney-based event promoters Beyond Definition Events comes a techno-injected showcase on Friday, June 16, 2023, at The Civic Hotel in Sydney, Australia. Kicking off from 9 PM onwards, this dance-inducing cauldron will heat up with techno and trance aficionado Jody 6 onstage alongside electronic music artists LeStrange, LIIA, KIKI, Beyond Def, and Nadine B. Get ready for pulsating techno beats as Beyond Definition Events ropes in some of the finest artists on deck for CAPTURE at Sydney’s premier live entertainment hotspot, Civic Underground. Ravers will be treated to music from Jody 6, techno monster LeStrange, high-energy sound producer LIIA, deep and progressive selector KIKI, Beyond Definition Events founder Beyond Def, and music producer Nadine B, who shells out dark, melodic, and progressive elements. The roster is set to dish out an ample dosage of trance components, melodic techno beats, acid basslines, and more at the 250-capacity venue.

The techno powerhouse display will see Julia Uporova aka LIIA make her second appearance for Beyond Definition Events. In tandem with this feature, we had a quick chat with her to fully grasp the techno rave party.
LIIA says, “I can’t wait to be back playing at CIVIC Underground for the Capture event on the 16th of June. My excitement stems from CIVIC having one of the best sound systems in Sydney right now and has a very cool ‘amphitheater’ setting, which works phenomenally for that underground techno feel. It will be my 2nd time performing for Beyond Definition Events, I feel blessed to play alongside some of Sydney’s sought-out DJs, to support the interstate artist and headliner of the night, Jody 6.”
LIIA also dived into her thoughts regarding the line-up and promoter, expressing, “The event’s organizer, Leon, has done a fantastic job putting this line-up together, every DJ on board has a very unique blend of techno, allowing the night to progress from progressive/melodic techno, journeying through to hard techno, to satisfy the punter’s cravings of hard and heavy beats.”

She culminated the conversation by giving an oral sneak peek of her upcoming set at CAPTURE, LIIA mentions, “I will be playing classic LIIA style, and for those newcomers, expect energetic sound, with elements from rich acid basslines, hard crunchy kicks, and eye-wobbling synth melodies, derived from the darker side of sound. We aim to have your legs sore at the end of the night, so make sure to grab your comfy rave shoes, and dance with us!”
We also heard from deep progressive and techno producer KIKI, who told us, “I’m honored to be among the other acts who will be performing. The diversity of styles and sounds represented ensures a dynamic and captivating experience for the audience.”
