Mark your calendars as Insomnia Dance Festival will make its debut at Zürich’s gigantic multi-purpose stadium, Hallenstadion. Slated for August 12, 2023, the day of the Zürich Street Parade, Switzerland’s largest indoor venue will host the party after the parade with an eclectic line-up of over twenty electronic artists and live performers showcasing music, art, and culture.
Insomnia Dance Festival (IDF) is set to string together the hottest music festival acts right now, puffing out house, trance, techno, and hardstyle genres. Swiss music producer and GRAMMY-nominated artist EDX, Dutch DJ Armin van Buuren, Italian hard techno duo 999999999, and Spanish psytrance/techno music producer Indira Paganotto will feature in the inaugural edition. Headliners announced also include I HATE MODELS and trio Meduza.

Rattling out the rest of the performers at IDF, attendees will dance to tunes helmed by Andy The Core, Bass Modulators, Billx, D-Sturb, Evil Activities, Frequencerz, Furyan vs. Hysta, The Purge, The Satan (Live), The Sickest Squad vs. Randy, Valentina Ignacio, Wildstylez, Zoree and more.
The festival, which unfurls three stages – The Arena, The Warehouse, and The Basement, also boasts avant-garde light shows, interactive installations, and a vast range of bites and beverages. The organizers have curated Insomnia Dance Festival in such a way that no acts on the roster between the festival and the parade are repeated, letting the attendees enjoy the experience to the fullest.
Speaking about the festival in an interview with Fazemag, Daniel Caruso, co-host of Insomnia Dance Festival, shared, “Insomnia follows the tradition of the energy raves (1992 to 2014) that made history at the Hallenstadion and historically built the Street Parade weekend together. So we follow this open spirit to offer a wide, diverse audience an event with multiple music styles and therefore different atmospheres and emotions.”
