Olivia Rodrigo Announces New Single ‘Vampire’
The wait is almost over! Olivia Rodrigo is back with new music later this month. The ‘driver’s license’ singer announced her new single via Instagram saying: “my new song vampire is out june 30th! you can presave now. so excited for this ahhhhh!!!!!!! ??????” Moreover, there is also a special edition! Fans can pre-order a seven-inch vinyl, which also includes the first demo of ‘Vampire’ along with the song.
Rodrigo wears dark lipstick and a winged eyeliner in the single’s cover art and the only colored part of the photo is the band-aid on her neck. It is the same color as her debut album (‘SOUR’) cover. ‘Vampire’ comes more than 2 years after the eleven-track record ‘SOUR,’ which featured the popular tracks ‘drivers license,’ ‘deja vu,’ ‘traitor,’ and ‘good 4 u.’ She received 7 nods at the 2022 Grammy Awards and took home three wins – Best New Artist, Best Pop Vocal Album (‘SOUR’), and Best Pop Solo Performance (‘drivers licence’).
Grammy Adds Three New Categories for 2024 Awards
The Recording Academy announced that it has added 3 new categories for the 2024 Grammy Awards. Best Alternative Jazz Album, Best Pop Dance Recording and Best African Music. “The Recording Academy is proud to announce these latest Category changes to our Awards process. These changes reflect our commitment to actively listen and respond to the feedback from our music community, accurately represent a diverse range of relevant musical genres, and stay aligned with the ever-evolving musical landscape,” said CEO of the Recording Academy, Harvey Mason jr.
Harvey added: “By introducing these three new categories, we are able to acknowledge and appreciate a broader array of artists – and relocating the producer of the year and songwriter of the year categories to the general field ensures that all our voters can participate in recognizing excellence in these fields.” “We are excited to honor and celebrate the creators and recordings in these categories, while also exposing a wider range of music to fans worldwide.”
Producer Of The Year, Non-Classical and Songwriter Of The Year, Non-Classical categories are now a part of the General Field. The General Field includes four categories Song Of The Year, Album Of The Year, Best New Artist, and Record Of The Year. All voters can now vote in the Producer Of The Year, Non-Classical and Songwriter Of The Year, Non-Classical categories.
Doja Cat Releases New Single ‘Attention’
Doja Cat’s new single is finally here! Titled ‘Attention’, the new song is accompanied by a music video directed by Tanu Muino. The music video sees the ‘Kiss Me More’ hitmaker drive past screaming fans, stroll down the street, and dodge fans and people walking by. This is her first solo single since ‘Vegas,’ which was recorded for the soundtrack of Baz Luhrmann’s 2022 film ‘Elvis.’
She was also featured on a remix of SZA’s latest hit track ‘Kill Bill.’ Doja Cat released her previous album ‘Planet Her’ about 2 years ago. BTS Announce New Book ‘Beyond The Story’
A book from BTS titled ‘Beyond The Story’ is on the way! Scheduled for a July 9 release, it marks the 10th anniversary of the K-pop band. It “demonstrates their effort, hardship, and growth starting from the band’s first gathering to becoming the 21st century pop icons,” as per a statement, according to Billboard. “The changes and progress in the K-pop industry are also discussed in it.”
Written by journalist Myeongseok Kang, the book follows the septet’s journey to stardom and will be published in 23 languages including English and Korean. The English translation of the book consists of 544 pages and also includes exclusive photographs. BTS has crossed many hurdles on their way to success, made history and broke several records. They’ve received 5 Grammy nods so far and have earned six no. 1 titles on Billboard Hot 100! Although BTS are on a break at the moment, they dropped a single titled ‘Take Two’ earlier this month.

Carly Rae Jepsen is all set to roll out a new single next week! The Canadian singer-songwriter took to social media to share the cover art, title, and release date of her upcoming single. “Shy Boy drops midnight June 23rd,” she announced her new single.
The ‘Run Away With Me’ singer’s latest album ‘The Loneliest Time,’ a sixteen-track record was released in October 2022. “This album came together in isolation but it came alive on the road. Releasing The Loneliest Time has been fun, healing, scary, silly – somehow all at once!” Carly shared about the record last year. “I’ve never been quite so open in my writing before but thanks to your kindness and support over the years, I have the confidence to write freely and explore new worlds of music. I don’t take that for granted.” She will also be heading to the Glastonbury Festival this month.
Stevie Nicks Announces Vinyl Box Set and Rarities
A new Stevie Nick career-spanning box set with a new rarities album is set to release this July! It compiles the iconic artist’s eight studio albums and unreleased tracks. The 16XLP collection, which also includes rare tracks, is limited to 3000 copies. Set to release on July 28, the box set will include vinyl debut ‘Trouble in Shangri-La,’ ‘In Your Dreams,’ and ‘Street Angel.’
The singer is currently hitting the road in the US and North America. She also announced some more dates for the upcoming months in May.
