Antix, Zen Mechanics, and More to Perform at AUM Next Level 2023: The Dome in New Zealand

Now reveling in its fourth year, the much anticipated annual mid-winter blowout AUM Next Level: The Dome returns to South Head, New Zealand, this July! The overnight camping festival will radiate from Leighton Farms in Auckland. Relaying twenty-eight hours of music, the festival will be held from July 1 to July 2 with artists Antix, Zen Mechanics, Volkiene, Dylan C, Grommie, and more. Get your tickets to AUM Next Level: The Dome from The Ticket Fairy.

AUM Next Level: The Dome is set to splash out gallons of psytrance, techno, prog, house, and drum & bass music, accompanied by trippy visuals, cosmic lighting on the dance floor, and unadulterated sound. The line-up features Dutch sensation Zen Mechanics (Wouter Thomassen), Aussie DJ Volkiene, Kiwi deep and melodic bass staple Dylan C, Arlen ‘Groomie’ Jade, and DJ duo Antix. Acts Ferksta, Rachael Sabin, Froggman, and Communicate, comprising musicians Hey Lady and Cyril Orson, round out the artist roster, with many more names yet to be announced.

Each musician’s set will last two hours at the festival, and attendees can also enjoy the complete audio-visual experience using the chromadepth 3D glasses provided by the organizers (till stock lasts). Visual projection artists, live performers, food trucks, and a single stage populate the venue. AUM is a zero-waste event, so attendees must carry only what they can take back. This edition will feature a covered/heated dance floor concept in the arena.

We contacted the AUM team to learn more about this covered/heated dance floor layout. As the showcase is scheduled during the winter months, the promoters kept the cold as a factor during production. Talking about managing the temperature, they told us, “We have a large structure being erected, so it’ll be like being inside but out in the bush. The heated part is basically heaters to warm the venue until it hits peak dance floor capacity, in which case the area will be hot no matter the weather outside.”

We also contacted performer DJ Grommie to get more insights on the upcoming show. The artist said to us, “Absolutely stoked to be a part of AUM winter festival. Ready to roll through some sweet bass to start your day off. So excited to see the production level, I’ve heard some incredible things!”
