Dunedin-based indie-rock and pop-rock quartet Marlin’s Dreaming are slated to tour New Zealand after two years! The tour is spread across Wellington, Christchurch, Dunedin, and Auckland, commencing on July 7, 2023. Gig-goers and fans looking to attend can grab their tickets from The Ticket Fairy.
Plugged with widely appreciated singles ‘Sink or Swim,’ ‘Floating,’ and ‘Trophies,’ Marlin’s Dreaming are sliding into a four-city tour of Aotearoa. The band is working on and recording new material, which attendees will get a sneak peek at during the concerts. Their final stop on the road occurs at George FM’s Fort Lane Live festival on July 22, 2023.
After a two-year gap and a successful three-city Australia tour, Marlin’s Dreaming are set to entertain Kiwis on their home turf once again. The four-piece band has set their sights on the Wellington live music and entertainment venue Meow for their first show on July 7, 2023. The indie rock and jangle pop crew will go on to perform at Loons in Christchurch on July 15 and at Dive in their hometown of Dunedin on July 21, 2023. The upcoming tour is presented by Banished Music, the brainiacs that continue to highlight and promote a slew of musicians in New Zealand.
Marlin’s Dreaming will head to Auckland for Fort Lane Live on July 22, 2023, to conclude their tour. Speaking on the upcoming shows, frontman and tour artwork designer Semisi Ma’ia’i shared, “We hadn’t realized the extent to which the pandemic had disrupted our outlook on touring, It’s been a long time between drinks.”
