Frequent collaborators John Digweed and Nick Muir work in tandem once again as they unleash a pair of remixes. The duo is offering new renditions of ‘1000 Lives‘ from Island Hill’s February 2023 album ‘Strangers In Paradise.’ The mixes are out now via their progressive house and techno label, Bedrock Records.
After a string of strong collaborative releases, UK heavyweights John Digweed and Nick Muir present a remixed and a dub version of ‘1000 Lives,’ with each dance floor mix clocking in at seven minutes. The remixed version belts out funk riffs, groovy textures, and acid-laced synth elements ladled with vocal lines. Digweed and Muir’s dub mix has a dance floor feel that keeps the vocals to a minimum while oozing rattling bass stabs, dub spikes, and a hive of synth intricacies.

Island Hill is composed of music producers Al, Barry, and Dibby, who fired out a ten-track album ‘Strangers In Paradise,’ which features ‘1000 Lives.’ They first came together as a result of the natural disaster of Typhoon Lingling and the consequent typhoon parties on the South Korean island of Jeju. The album was picked up by John Digweed, who gave the collective their first release on his legendary Bedrock Records.
