Formed in 1953, the Fire Island Pines in New York brings in their 70th-anniversary bash with support from the FIPPOA (Fire Island Pines Property Owners’ Association) community. This upcoming beach party will see DJ and talk show host Lina Bradford helm proceedings with her contagious energy. It has been nearly a decade since Bradford was last seen in the Pines, and those planning to attend can anticipate a sunset filled with deep house and disco music.
Tickets to the platinum anniversary celebration come with a special 70th-anniversary souvenir. Attendees are encouraged to B-Y-O-Beach Blankets or block a table seating at the venue.
The Fire Island Pines Property Owner’s Association manages the operations of The Pines community, “beautifying the Pines and maintaining the harbor,” whilst helming various initiatives and task forces. It also plays a vital role in safeguarding the ecosystem of the LGBTQIA+ community in the area.
