Kick-starting his journey as Signal, his former drum & bass alias, Rotterdam-based Jonathan Kievit has presented his penchant for story-telling with twisted rhythms and powerful basslines. Established in late 2019, the IMANU project follows an already impressive chapter in drum & bass into an intricate and strapping journey. The manner in which IMANU weaves his sonic and emotional thread through various styles, it’s incredibly difficult and unfair to pigeonhole him into a single genre. Just under a year ago, IMANU released his magnum opus, ‘UNFOLD,’ which twisted heads and made him one of the most exciting acts in electronic music as a whole.
