London-based DJ and producer Lex Luca has extended his boutique writing camp and education platform, OpenDAW, to a unique podcast series. OpenDAW was launched in 2020 by Lex Luca as a way to support independent artists worldwide who found their ability to network and collaborate quickly cut short by COVID-19. Since then, the service has worked with more than one hundred independent artists from sixteen countries.
OpenDAW launched its first in-person workshops in 2021, partnering with the leading electronic music conference, Brighton Music Conference. OpenDAW’s educational output has been significant, with Lex Luca hosting a series of OpenDAW panels featuring guests such as Just Her, James Herr, Clementine Douglas, Eve Horne and Roger Sanchez.
Launching with one of the music industry’s most prolific and highly regarded artists Felix Buxton, one half of Basement Jaxx, the OpenDAW podcast will feature a series of high-calibre guests discussing their journeys to success. Expect to hear songwriting techniques and creative strategies, the art of collaboration, and nurturing a positive mindset from seasoned professionals, along with a plethora of tips and tricks to help music makers elevate their music.
“I’ve wanted to do this podcast for a while, it’s been a brilliant experience to record and I’m really proud of what we’ve got lined up. OpenDAW Talks will add yet another resource to what OpenDAW offers budding music-makers, and I’m looking forward for people to get stuck into the upcoming episodes,” said Lex Luca.
The second episdode OpenDAW Podcast has also landed with talented singer and songwriter Camden Cox, who has been the voice behind some of dance music’s recent hits like ‘Lady Love,’ ‘Stay The Night,’ and ‘Oblivion’ among others.
