Auckland-based musician Princess Chelsea takes her Taite Music Prize-winning album ‘Everything Is Going to Be Alright’ on a four-city tour of New Zealand spanning five shows this October. Conjured by Banished Music, tickets to each show are available at The Ticket Fairy.
Starting on October 12 at Neck of The Woods in Auckland, indie pop sensation Chelsea Nikkel aka Princess Chelsea hits the road on tour in support of her fifth studio album. The singer-songwriter and producer is set to perform all ten tracks of the album. Chelsea has roped in drummer David Harris, keyboardist Joe Kaptein, and guitarists Joshua Worthington-Church, Simeon Kavanagh-Vincent, and Jasmine Balmer for the tour.
Princess Chelsea will take her cinematic, dreamy pop production to Porridge Watson, Whanganui (October 13), followed by a run of gigs at St Peters Village Hall in Paekakariki (October 14) and San Fran in Wellington (October 15). The tour reaches its conclusion on October 20 for the classically trained pianist on familiar territory in Auckland at Big Fan. This show is open to buffs of all ages and will feature some of Chelsea’s previous musical compositions too. Plugged in on support duties at Big Fan is singer-songwriter Heidi Simpson, who has just released her debut single, a spirited indie pop tune ‘What’s On TV.’
Post this showcase, Princess Chelsea jets off on her debut tour of North America, accompanied by her band of eight, with gigs chalked in for Seattle, Portland, Los Angeles, Houston, Cleveland, Chicago, and more.
