[Lavanya Thankappan](https://www.ticketfairy.com/word/author/lavanyakkt.md) 5 October 2023 · 2 min read Months after introducing her debut record label Marginalia, Barcelona-based DJ/producer Elif has dropped the imprint’s maiden three-tracked opus titled ‘Medusa’ with Althoff and Takiru. ‘Medusa’ EP weaves in the signature soundscape of Elif, one that demarcates her music to the crowd and has had her land on multiple acclaimed imprints. The EP kicks off with the Turkish-born artist’s original titular mix, which bases itself on an emphatic, steady motif of percussions, bassline and rip-roaring synth works. Elif joins forces with Brazilian producer Althoff on the EP’s penultimate track, ‘Run Wild.’ Together, the producers build a medieval soundscape tethered to raw house and melodic techno, unlike the third and final offering of ‘Medusa’ EP.
