Fifth Note Serves Up New Single, ‘Always Love You’

Nagaland-based progressive rock/experimental band Fifth Note unleashes their newest single ‘Always Love You,’ laying the groundwork for their upcoming album, ‘Here We Are.’

Indian five-piece outfit Fifth Note submits their freshest tune, ‘Always Love You,’ a sonic cannon blasting with themes of hard rock, progressive rock, and winks of glam metal. The nearly six-minute offering is the group’s first single on their upcoming debut album, ‘Here We Are,’ slotted in for release on December 8.

‘Always Love You’ unfolds to pacy work on the keyboard, rapidly tilting toward a heavier rock sound as the keys form a musical pathway, layered with pounding drums and plucky bass rhythms. With its infectious chorus and fiery melodic guitar riff, the fivesome’s progressive metal and old-school hard rock inspirations ooze in seamlessly. The crew also released a music video for the song, which has amassed over 130,000 views at the time of writing, and was filmed in a warehouse reminiscent of the Garage Sessions.

Hailing from Kohima, Nagaland, in the northeast of India, Fifth Note banded together in 2019. They have earned multiple accolades since their inception, including bagging the Best Rock Artist award at MG Music Awards and Nagaland Music Awards in 2022. Fifth Note’s upcoming album derives its name from the band’s previous single, ‘Here We Are,’ released in 2021. The band has also recently been picked up by the Italian record label Frontiers Music. Fifth Note is comprised of Samuel Thapa (Vocals), Khriekethozo Sekhose (Guitar), Jubito Swu (Bass), Rüüvolie Kire (Drums), and Sheduto Kezo (Keyboards).
