The single opens with an Indian classical vocal segment, followed by snappy percussive movements and plucky guitar rhythms piloted by Mana’s mellifluous vocals. A neatly arranged string segment by violist Judy Cruces is also winched to produce a dreamy debut offering. The EP is slated to be the first piece of a two-part series loaded with reflective lyrics and emotive melodies. Enunciated as *Muhlee*, the Indian-origin trio Malli derives their name from the Kannada word for ‘Jasmine flower.’ The band consists of three full-time members: guitarist Arsh Sood, vocalist Mana Contractor, and multi-instrumentalist Navneet Rao. Their music draws inspiration from their diverse personal journeys to the United States, stitching together a sonic ensemble of experiences. ***Song Credits**:* *Vocals: Mana Contractor Guitar: Arsh Sood Drums: Navneet Rao Bass: Takuro Tsubaki Violin: Judy Cruces Percussion: Carson Fratus Mixed by: Danielle Goldsmith Recorded at: Women’s Audio Mission, San Francisco* **Find Malli on: [Spotify](https://open.spotify.com/artist/3p3MGfcTgXh1uo2ehOZbNK) | [Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/mallitheband/?hl=en)| [Website](https://www.mallitheband.com/)** **Check out more new releases from Indian artists –** [Spotify Embed: TFword Selects: Fresh Indian Releases](https://open.spotify.com/embed/playlist/4SmF4ohkGecVUj9rDLBz6D?utm_source=oembed) **You May Also Like:** [Michael Dias Releases Debut Album, ‘Show Me What’s Real’](https://www.ticketfairy.com/word/2023/11/09/michael-dias-releases-debut-album-show-me-whats-real) [The Lightyears Explode Drops New Single, ‘Big Big Love’](https://www.ticketfairy.com/word/2023/11/08/the-lightyears-explode-drops-new-single-big-big-love) [Saachi Releases a Hauntingly Enthralling New Single, ‘Doom’s My Religion’](https://www.ticketfairy.com/word/2023/11/07/saachi-releases-a-hauntingly-enthralling-new-single-dooms-my-religion) Share [X](https://twitter.com/intent/tweet?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketfairy.com%2Fword%2F2023%2F11%2F15%2Fmalli-celebrates-the-bond-of-sisterhood-on-debut-single-nams.md&text=Malli+Celebrates+the+Bond+of+Sisterhood+on+Debut+Single%2C+%E2%80%98Nams%E2%80%99) [Facebook](https://www.facebook.com/sharer/sharer.php?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketfairy.com%2Fword%2F2023%2F11%2F15%2Fmalli-celebrates-the-bond-of-sisterhood-on-debut-single-nams.md) [WhatsApp](https://api.whatsapp.com/send?text=Malli+Celebrates+the+Bond+of+Sisterhood+on+Debut+Single%2C+%E2%80%98Nams%E2%80%99+https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketfairy.com%2Fword%2F2023%2F11%2F15%2Fmalli-celebrates-the-bond-of-sisterhood-on-debut-single-nams.md) ## Denver C Tracking stories in music with a focus on festivals, events, gigs, and sustainability.
