Award-winning New Zealand musician and actor Troy Kingi, Newcastle band Rum Jungle, hip-hop artist David Dallas, and Auckland-based musical ensemble Tiny Ruins are set to headline Outfield Festival 2024! Performing for the first time in Te Awanga Hawke’s Bay is five-piece indie rock band PARK RD on the line-up alongside Wiri Donna, New Zealand’s killer DJ/producer TREI, and Flamingo Pier, who will play a DJ set.

“Honestly can’t wait to get over to New Zealand. Only our second time heading across but it’ll be our first time as a full band. Last time Frazer our drummer couldn’t make it,” said Rum Jungle. “We’ve got a new EP with heaps of new tracks we’re well keen to play so should be a mad time. Whole lot of other sweet acts playing too so we’re honestly just hoping we can stick around long enough to see as much as we can ??”

Amandamania will be making her Outfield debut in February 2024, with the Hawkes Bay quartet Sandy Sheets and Poneke-based six-piece band Tahini Bikini also on the bill! Tahini Bikini expressed that they are excited “to be playing at Outfield festival amongst some incredible musicians, we’ve worked with the organisers at a different event and they were really considerate of artists and creating a positive/safe environment, so we’re stoked to be involved again and support their mahi!”

Drum & bass DJ Kenzo, Joe Cole + Band, DJ Jordan Lee, and George FM Nights host Beccie B have been confirmed for the Outfield Festival. Speaking about performing, Joe Cole shared with us, “It’s gonna be sick to see the festival returning. The one year anniversary of Gabrielle is gonna around the same time, so seeing everyone coming together to vibe out in the sunshine is gonna be a good feeling. Can’t wait to play some new songs I’ve been storing away, too!”

Outfield 2024 will also rope in Hawkes Bay DJ/producer PANG, Takas, Te Whanau Puoro, MCDUB, singer/songwriter Kenya Boerman, and Uncle Les. “Really excited for the festival. Everyone loves the space and the artwork year after year is unmatched. I’ve been digging through lots of stripped back early 2000s tech house and I’m excited to share it with Outfield!” said PANG, when we reached out to him for a comment.

DnB collective Ruffhouse Crew, Lunaya, electronic musician, writer, sound designer, and audio engineer Ludus, DJ Cleo, singer/songwriter Molly Pawson, and DJ Lil B will join the long list of artists amping up to head to Te Awanga Downs for the festival. Save the date on your calendars and tell all your friends and family to get ready for Outfield 2024!
