Megapixel To Headline Psytrance Cinema Rave In Sydney

It is time to rave and party like never before as Australia’s All Friends and Astral Summit throw down their newest phenomenon, Psytrance Cinema Rave, on March 16, 2024, at The Six: Twelve in Sydney’s CBD! Tickets to Psytrance Cinema Rave Ft. Megapixel are available from The Ticket Fairy.

Sydney’s psytrance juggernauts All Friends, known for simmering cinematic-fashioned ragers, now bring an all-night psytrance blowout into the fold. After plastering event cards with Viking, duo Morphix, and Renegade DJ, the promoters now stamp Grasshopper Records’ Megapixel as the headlining act. Melbourne-based Megumi Fletcher, best known as Megapixel, gears up for a busy March with gigs at Esoteric Festival (Sun Temple, Ascension), Cinema Rave, and Rabbits Eat Lettuce Festival. Megapixel also returns to All Friends after delivering an incredible performance at the BYO Warehouse Rave in May 2023.

Psytrance DJ and producer Jitesh Rao, alias Explore Jitesh, finds himself attached to yet another All Friends and Astral Summit stage. However, this time, the India-born and Australia-bred musician will debut his first complete track ‘Neural Game’ during his set. Audio engineer and music producer Pietro Lena’s progressive trance project KnowHow and Deep Space Entertainment’s founder Bill Koster aka Microscopic Eye, a staple of Sydney’s dance music scene, also feature on the bill.

Speaking about the impending rave, Pietro Lena aka KnowHow told us, “The cinema is going to explode with so much positive energy and good vibes from people jumping and dancing the night away, even more so with popcorn and artistic interventions. I’m looking forward to making history in the psytrance scene with the other Sydney DJs.” For those uninitiated to a KnowHow session, Lena mentions, “I’m preparing a set with some really danceable tunes as well as some new material.”

Anastasia Bestuzheva, who fires up the deck under the moniker Psychephilia, rounds out the music acts. Graphic designer, illustrator, and 3D/2D artist Polina Francini, who thrives under Opia, has been revealed as the first face/body paint artist at the showcase.

Psytrance Cinema Rave heats the dance floor at The Six: Twelve from 9 PM onwards and treads on into the late night. Along with an enticing progressive/psytrance/dark-psy artist roster and a massive LED screen that will act as a canvas for eccentric visuals, the venue will additionally feature makeup artists who will up the ante with UV face and body paint works.

Early bird, first release, and second release passes have already sold out. Third-release tickets are currently up for grabs! Secure your entry today!
