Cooked up by Banished Music and Strange News Tours, Zambian psych-rock icons WITCH head to New Zealand on their maiden tour, with concerts slated to be held in Auckland and Wellington. This ten-track record was WITCH getting back into a recording studio for the first time since 1984 and flared out African music, funk, blues, jazz, and a blend of multiple genres. ‘Zango’ is named after the common places in Zambian villages where people would assemble to exchange ideas. It was recorded with a splendid ensemble of musicians. A mini-documentary diving into the makings of the album is currently streaming on YouTube.
