Bass head SLAPS chatted with us about her inaugural session at Darby Street, which, as fate would have it, falls on her birthday! Shedding light on her performance, the artist shares, “You can expect the classic SLAPS high energy and boppy beats. However, I’ve taken the time to really dig through and experiment with my music to curate something super special for this set!” When asked about how it feels to be plastered on a line-up alongside The Prototypes, SLAPS affirms, “So stoked!” She adds, “It feels so surreal to be supporting international artists when they come over but it’s always a huge honor being matched to an artist/artists I’ve looked up to since I started messing around with music.” > [View this post on Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/p/C65e17ELkPT/?utm_source=ig_embed&utm_campaign=loading) > > [A post shared by S L A P S (@slapsnz)](https://www.instagram.com/p/C65e17ELkPT/?utm_source=ig_embed&utm_campaign=loading) Concluding our exchange, SLAPS heaped praise on the organizers. She said, “Super super grateful to be picked up by amazing promoters who have been working tirelessly (especially after COVID) to showcase amazing international artists while also uplifting smaller local legends.
