SULTAN Makes His Return With New Single, ‘There Goes That Man’

SULTAN recites the invincible story of a kid on his new single.

A nuanced plucking of strings introduces ‘There Goes That Man,’ enveloped by modern pop/electronica artist SULTAN’s masterful charge of vocals as he builds on the story. The single transposes self-discovery and potential from a kid’s perspective who overcomes obstacles and runs against the speed of life with the newfound vigor to counter his fears. “And he walked a mile away / From who he was / There goes that man,” sings SULTAN, narrating the arc.

The rustic delivery of the tale comes to fruition as ‘There goes that man’ craftfully diverges into a fitting electronic trance soundtrack packed with steady pulsating beats, synth and electric guitar work, and vocal chops. The latest track is a follow-up to SULTAN’s 2023 single ‘Golden Skin’ and 2022’s ‘Cat Got My Tongue.’

Alongside his solo works, Sultan Aftab Khan aka SULTAN is known prominently for his role as the frontman, lead vocalist and guitarist of the New Delhi-based pop band Chizai. He’s been making waves in the indie scene for over a decade now, building his repertoire as a promising artist to look out for.
