While the financial details of the transaction remain undisclosed, this deal signifies a significant shift in ownership, with the European live music powerhouse taking the reins from the platform’s previous owner, DICE. Boiler Room’s acquisition by DICE in 2021 followed the latter’s successful Series C funding round, which raised over USD 120 million. Since then, DICE has gone on to secure more than USD 200 million in funding, with its latest round completed in August 2023. The sale of Boiler Room to Superstruct comes just six months after Superstruct itself was acquired by investment firm KKR. We feel in good company with their roster of brands, they offer us new opportunities to grow, whilst understanding the importance of staying true to the authenticity that, at its core, is what makes Boiler Room special.” Boiler Room announced that its core team will remain at the helm, continuing to lead the business and oversee its operations under Superstruct’s new ownership. Furthermore, DICE will continue to serve as Boiler Room’s official ticketing platform, reinforcing the long-standing partnership between the two entities. Although it’s still too soon to predict the full impact of Superstruct’s ownership on Boiler Room’s future, this acquisition underscores a significant trend: the increasing alignment between digital streaming platforms and major live event operators.
