HEDEGAARD, Matt Hawk, Cancun? And I.D.O. Join Forces For New Single

A lethal unit of HEDEGAARD, CANCUN?, Matt Hawk, and I.D.O. shoot out ‘THE MADNESS’ via OneHundred/Spinnin Records.

Danish electronic producer Rasmus Hedegaard and rapper from his OneHundred label, CANCUN?, reunite with a multi-faceted artist I.D.O. to pipe out a high-octane future fave tune in ‘THE MADNESS.’ Folded into the mix is producer Matt Hawk, a frequent collaborator with Hedegaard, and the release is complemented by a music video drawn out using AI.

EDM producer HEDEGAARD launched his OneHundred label in 2023, partnering with Spinnin’ Records to focus on car music, i.e., low-tempo bass, EDM, and urban music tailored to be played while driving a vehicle. Now backed with what can only be expressed as a supreme collective of personalities, he stamps ‘THE MADNESS’ into its books.

This genre-twisting collaboration powers through with high-octane car music feels, future rave intensity, and rampant electro stabs while also being laced with pounding kicks, explosive synths, and dark, techy, and gritty textures.

Each of the collaborating artists leaves their fingerprints on this project. With ease, HEDEGAARD creates a scorching cross-genre pathway, upon which CANCUN? affixes assertive hip-hop flows. Matt Hawk adds an emotional depth to the virulent mix, while I.D.O. latches on towards the end with rap bars that nonchalantly drift over the track.

‘THE MADNESS’ is accompanied by a recently released music video developed using an AI video generator, Google’s Veo 3, and is crafted to connect with electronic music fans and digital culture fanatics. It features snippets of all four artists, as well as a city under attack. Fittingly, the video comes to a close with the foursome driving off in a car.

HEDEGAARD, CANCUN? and I.D.O have previously collaborated on ‘BANG BANG POW,’ while HEDEGAARD and countrymen Matt Hawk have piped out multiple mixes together, such as ‘SA-MY-D,’ ‘Ni**as in Paris,’ ‘Hood To The Hills,’ and ‘OneHundred.’
