During the segment, Guetta delivered counsel on how to read the crowd and wade through a challenging set when the club isn’t vibing by first confessing, “This happens even to me,” and then clapping back at the notion that sets are prepared and recorded in advance. He states, “This is why pre-recorded sets make no sense.” On how to win over the crowd, Guetta dropped some gems and encouraged performers to shake up their playlist until they get a response from the crowd, and then “play more of that style.” He explained, “You need to be able to try different things until you win. And when you win, you make them happy. Setting the record straight, Guetta revealed, “If I’m totally honest, some of it can become like a trick to do that, and some of it is a little bullsh\*t part of the show. I put the EQ (equalizer) straight because you have the craziest engineers that are coming into the club. So, unless the club really sucks, you don’t need to do all this “show” with EQ.” “I don’t wanna speak bad about my colleagues (laughs), but I think a lot of this is for the show.
