From the get-go, ‘She’s A DJ’ unleashes a dance-floor-ready beat, ticking with energetic grooves, wavy electro patches, well-timed drops, and satiny vocals. [She's A DJ](https://www.youtube.com/embed/noMfuRlSyDM?feature=oembed) The lyrics *“I got a girlfriend, she’s a DJ, she can slow it down if you can keep the pace”* sit wonderfully during the melodic change in tempo two minutes in, before the music ramps back up to a fast-paced dance rhythm. Sommer Ray has also recently announced dates for the second phase of her Sommer Tour, which includes stops in [Mexico](https://www.ticketfairy.com/event/sommer-ray-riu-party-cancun-21jun2025), New York, Las Vegas, and the [Dog Daze Festival](https://www.instagram.com/p/DLkyJLeyw2P/?hl=en) in California. Commencing her DJ career in 2023, model-turned-DJ Sommer Ray has collaborated with artists such as DJ PRESS PLAY (‘Eternal Sommer’), Martin Jensen (‘No Sleep’), and head of the Night Drive and OneHundred label – HEDEGAARD. ***[‘She’s A DJ’ by Sommer Ray](https://night-drive.lnk.to/shesadj?utm_source=hoobe&utm_medium=social) is now streaming on all major audio platforms*** **Find Sommer Ray on [Spotify](https://open.spotify.com/artist/7EdXiDSXhpAzHmb2PWd2Kp)| [Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/sommerray/?hl=en)** **For more new music releases, keep up with TFword on [Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/tf.word/) | [Facebook](https://www.facebook.com/thefckingword) | [X](https://x.com/thefckingword)** **You May Also Like:** [Sommer Ray Drops Catchy New Dance Track, ‘LaLaLa (Everybody’s Up)’](https://www.ticketfairy.com/word/2025/05/14/sommer-ray-drops-catchy-new-dance-track-lalala-everybodys-up) [Kenn Colt Reimagines a Dream House Classic](https://www.ticketfairy.com/word/2025/07/21/kenn-colt-reimagines-a-dream-house-classic) [Blakey’s Electronic Evolution Behind ‘Ta Ta Ta’](https://www.ticketfairy.com/word/2025/07/11/blakeys-electronic-evolution-behind-ta-ta-ta) Go ## The event in this story - [Sat 26 Jul 2025 · past SOMMER RAY @RIU PARTY CANCÚN Riu Party, Cancún See the event](https://www.ticketfairy.com/event/sommer-ray-riu-party-cancun-21jun2025) [Riu Party](https://www.ticketfairy.com/events-in-cancun/riu-party-cancun-quintana-roo) [Everything on in Cancún](https://www.ticketfairy.com/events-in-cancun) Share [X](https://twitter.com/intent/tweet?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketfairy.com%2Fword%2F2025%2F07%2F22%2Fshes-a-dj-shows-sommer-ray-championing-women-in-electronic-music.md&text=%E2%80%98She%E2%80%99s+A+DJ%E2%80%99+Shows+Sommer+Ray+Championing+Women+in+Electronic+Music) [Facebook](https://www.facebook.com/sharer/sharer.php?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketfairy.com%2Fword%2F2025%2F07%2F22%2Fshes-a-dj-shows-sommer-ray-championing-women-in-electronic-music.md) [WhatsApp](https://api.whatsapp.com/send?text=%E2%80%98She%E2%80%99s+A+DJ%E2%80%99+Shows+Sommer+Ray+Championing+Women+in+Electronic+Music+https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketfairy.com%2Fword%2F2025%2F07%2F22%2Fshes-a-dj-shows-sommer-ray-championing-women-in-electronic-music.md) ## Denver C Tracking stories in music with a focus on festivals, events, gigs, and sustainability.
