Charitrh – ‘All This To Fit In’

Mumbai-based rock act Charitrh bundles up his previously released singles and introduces a new, emotionally heavy punk-influenced garage rock sound with his debut EP ‘All This To Fit In.’ Featuring five songs, the EP is grounded in raw, guitar-driven energy and explores themes of identity, overthinking, and inner conflict.

The title track stands as the centerpiece of the record, a gritty rock score powered by distorted guitars, aggressive drum work, and a pulsating undercurrent of electronic energy that keeps the momentum high. A standout guitar riff cuts through the noise, adding a fierce edge that captures the track’s restless tone.

Rahul Shah – ‘Naqaab’

Bouncing off his piano-soaked single ‘Duur Jaane Par‘ and recent collaboration with Antara Ansuna (‘Dono Hi Dono‘), indie-pop singer-songwriter Rahul Shah unveils his newest release, ‘Naqaab’ – the first single from his upcoming debut concept album ‘Gham Ka Ghar.’

A momentous milestone, ‘Naqaab’ marks Rahul’s 22nd independent single and sets the emotional tone for the album. Through the Hindi word ‘Naqaab’ (meaning “mask”), the song delves into ideas of fear, belonging, and the quiet courage to reveal one’s true self. GXRNOOR ft Nicole Blakk – ‘Sonya’

Singer-songwriter and composer Gurnoor Anand, known artistically as GXRNOOR, has released her first single of 2025, ‘Sonya,’ featuring the dynamic UK rap artist Nicole Blakk. The two rapidly rising talents deliver a vibrant fusion of Punjabi pop and infectious Afro beats, blending GXRNOOR’s honeyed Punjabi vocals with a scintillating mix of English and French lyrics from Nicole.

An independent artist, GXRNOOR wrote ‘Sonya’ in just fifteen minutes during a train journey to London. The track seamlessly weaves elements of indie-pop, Afro beats, and dance-pop, while also standing out as a strong addition to the growing Punjabi Pop or P-Pop scene. According to GXRNOOR, “‘Sonya’ captures the intoxicating rush of being completely captivated in love – a feeling so deep.” Since its release, the song has already racked up over 115,000 views on YouTube and more than 90,000 streams on Spotify.

Kidshot, FlamboyBeatz – ‘Saitama’

Known for his hard-hitting delivery and sharp lyricism, hip-hop artist Kidshot provides his over 50K monthly Spotify listeners with another solid reason to tune in with his latest release, ‘Saitama.’ The track sees him reunite with frequent collaborator FlamboyBeatz, the producer behind their previous high-energy single, ‘Karu Mein Kyaaaaa‘ (featuring rapper Bella).

Tech Panda & Kenzani – ‘Snake Charmer’

Staying true to their reputations as trailblazers of folktronica and pioneers of experimental sounds, the Delhi-based producers return with their new single ‘Snake Charmer.’ At just under six minutes, the track stays true to their style, seamlessly merging Indian folk elements and electronic music.

Layered with the haunting hoots of the shehnai, bouncy percussion, and vibrant desi flavors, ‘Snake Charmer’ brings a lively indie dance groove. “This dynamic track exudes raw power and energy, rendering it an ideal selection for a diverse range of settings, from vibrant festivals to joyous moments,” expressed the duo via press note, “We always wanted to have a Tech Panda & Kenzani track that would make the dancefloor erupt with joy, and ‘Snake Charmer’ does that.”

Derek & The Cats – ‘People to Meet, Places to See’

Bengaluru-based jazz ensemble Derek & The Cats returns with their seven-track sophomore album, ‘People to Meet, Places to See,’ a collection penned during their tours across India and harvesting stories along the way. Previous fan favorites ‘Ratna Mahal,’ ‘Cubbon Park,’ and ‘Jhonty Patel‘ sit alongside four fresh entries, namely ‘Maya’ (featuring sitar maestro Varun Nimbolkar), ‘Techno Police’ (with musician Aadarsh Subramanium), ‘Leticia’ (showcasing guitarist Blesswin Winco), and ‘Do You Play the Techno?’

The longest composition on the album, ‘Maya,’ drips with grandeur. It stitches together Indian classical motifs, Spanish jazz flourishes, and hints of Arabian and Armenian textures, all elevated by Varun Nimbolkar’s expressive sitar work. ‘Techno Police’ launches the group into more electronic territory.
