NEOPOP Returns as ANTIPOP For 20th Anniversary

The 20th year festivities will run from August 6 to 8, 2026, at Viana do Castelo in Portugal.

Founded in 2006, the festival went by ‘ANTIPOP’ for the first few years, and now it’s the theme for the upcoming milestone edition. Opening day will see earth-shattering sets from Spanish techno queen Indira Paganotto, Hector Oaks B2B Partiboi69, Berlin-based DJ Gigola, BIIA B2B Patrick Mason, Russian techno powerhouse Nina Kraviz, and more. Helena Hauff B2B IMOGEN, British-Canadian techno wiz Richie Hawtin, Ellen Allien B2B SALOME, Joseph Capriati B2B Luke Slater, Octave One (live), and Iranian-American Dubfire are among some of the artists heading to Viana do Castelo, Portugal, this August for the second day of ANTIPOP (August 7).

The iconic Jeff Mills, Spanish techno heavyweight Paco Osuna, Portugal’s very own Lewis Fautzi (live), The Martinez Brothers, Frank Maurel B2B Josh Wink, and more will be closing out the festivities in style. 

“The celebration of NEOPOP’s 20 years is not only about commemorating our trajectory, it’s a moment that allows us to reflect on the future and growth of this project. When we started, we were part of a niche, the counterculture of counterculture,” said Gustavo Pereira of NEOPOP as per DJ Mag. “Today, electronic music has evolved from something avant-garde, unknown, and underground into a global phenomenon. Along with this transformation, NEOPOP has also established itself as a must-attend event for the most influential artists.”
