Months after dropping a three-track collaborative effort, creative electronic duo Indo Warehouse invite listeners to the dancefloor with an account of a ‘Chor.’

‘Chor’ sees Indo Warehouse plug in the vocal prowess of popular Punjabi singer and composer Rashmeet Kaur to sculpt an intriguing dance number soaked in Punjabi soul and shaped by folklore with a smear of tech house hues.

In a statement to the press, Indo Warehouse’s Kahani expressed, “Over the last few years, we’ve been thinking deeply about how to create music that feels connected to our heritage without feeling trapped by nostalgia. With Rashmeet, it never felt like we were combining separate worlds. It felt like we were discovering a shared language together.”

Laced with a cinematic flair, the track is tantalizingly twined around entrancing percussion, bouncy bass lines, throbbing beats, and Rashmeet Kaur’s powerful voice, which leads with vigor and intensity. This release signals the first chapter of a larger creative venture by Kahani and Kunal Merchant, where each release taps into an original story that serves as the plot for all imagery, videos, and live experiences.

In this narrative, ‘Chor,’ which translates to ‘thief’ or ‘bandit,’ takes inspiration from a tale developed by Indo Warehouse about a monsoon-season robbery and a page missing from an ancient raag or melody.

‘Chor’ is a dark, emotionally layered song that feels like a whisper spreading through every street and alley. There’s a ‘chor’ out there, someone capable of stealing your heart. But beneath the vulnerability and intensity, the song also carries the quiet reminder not to lose yourself blindly in love, but to give your heart to someone truly worthy of it. It lives in the contrast between surrender and self-protection, making the song feel haunting, intimate, and deeply emotional,” said Rashmeet Kaur.

Live audiences got a first taste of ‘Chor’ at IMS Ibiza 2026 during Indo Warehouse’s B2B session with industry legend and pioneering DJ Pete Tong at Dalt Villa in April of this year.

‘Chor’ by Indo Warehouse is now available for streaming on all major audio platforms
