Choonage to Make His Headlining Debut at Pointers in Auckland

New Zealand’s emerging DJ/producer Choonage is getting ready to light up the dancefloor at one of the most happening venues in Auckland next week! He will be headlining a show at Pointers on 1 Lower Hobson Street on July 17, 2026, to spin his delectable selections of rhythms and influences that are shaping his artistry. The fabulous Auckland-based venue Pointers has roped in high-energy electronic music act Choonage for his very first headlining show. Expect pulse-pounding hard house, tech house, garage and meticulously curated tunes from the groove-focused producer and DJ who will lay down an explosive set for partygoers. “MY DEBUT GIG – Headlining @pointersbarnz July 17th!! So happy to get on the stage for a headline for my first ever show, come have a boogie to a whole lot of unreleased rippers! Have been so excited to announce this one, featuring amazing support from these incredible DJs: Beretta Zenek Bushky ASBECK TetraFunk,” Choonage wrote on Instagram. After his gig at Pointers, he is confirmed to take on support duties for New Zealand’s electronic music producer/DJ duo FOVOS later this month.

Bunker co-founder beretta and New Zealand-based house music collective Tetrafunk, comprising Theo L, Boston, Michael Chapman and Dylan Baldwin, will be the supporting artists for the gig on July 17. Aotearoa-based DJ/producer Asbeck, C.O.T.O co-founder and house and techno DJ Zenek and UKG and house DJ/producer bushky, who took the Northern Bass stage earlier this year, complete the killer line-up for the night.
