The Grammy-award-winning Yankovic rose to fame with his parody pop songs and chose Radcliffe himself to play him in the movie.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Alfred Matthew Yankovic, better known as &#8220;Weird Al,&#8221; wrote and produced the film alongside Appel. The film also stars Evan Rachel Wood (\u2018Westworld\u2019) as Madonna, Emmy award winner Quinta Brunson (\u2018Abbott Elementary\u2019) as Oprah Winfrey, Jack Black (\u2018School of Rock\u2019) as Wolfman Jack, Rainn Wilson (\u2018The Office\u2019) as Dr. Demento, Julianne Nicholson (\u2018Mare of Easttown\u2019) as Mary Yankovic, Toby Huss (\u2018Dickinson\u2019) as Nick Yankovic, James Preston Rogers as Hulk Hogan, and Spencer Treat Clark (\u2018Gladiator\u2019) as Steve Jay, among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Cher<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Last year, Cher took to Twitter to announce that a biopic about her life was in the works at Universal Pictures. Having created an account on Instagram this month, Coppola shared her first post &#8211; a photo of the New York Times Bestseller &#8216;Elvis and Me\u2019 with the caption: \u201cBack to work! Excited to be telling Priscilla\u2019s story.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jacob Elordi (\u2018Euphoria\u2019) and Cailee Spaeny are set to star as Elvis and Priscilla Presley, respectively. The release date for the film is yet to be announced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Bob Marley<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An upcoming biopic following the life and career of Bob Marley will star Kingsley Ben-Adir (\u2018One Night in Miami\u2019) as the singer, considered one of the pioneers of reggae. Reinaldo Marcus Green (\u2018King Richard\u2019,\u00a0\u2018Monsters and Men\u2019) will helm the untitled biopic. According to Deadline, the film will be released on January 12, 2024. Robert Teitel will have a production script and Bob Marley\u2019s family members &#8211; Ziggy Marley, Rita Marley, and Cedella Marley &#8211; will also produce on behalf of Tuff Gong.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;Our film starts in &#8217;76 and really it&#8217;s about the making of Exodus. So that&#8217;s primarily the window that we&#8217;re going to focus on, with obviously, some flashes to his early life,\u201d director Reinaldo Marcus Green&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/collider.com\/bob-marley-movie-biopic-release-date-reinaldo-marcus-green\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">said<\/a>&nbsp;to Collider.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Madonna<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Superstar Madonna is helming a biopic about herself. She is co-writing it with Erin Cressida Wilson (\u2018Chloe\u2019,\u00a0\u2018The Girl on the Train\u2019) and Diablo Cody (\u2018Jennifer\u2019s Body\u2019,\u00a0&#8216;Juno&#8217;),\u00a0who has completed her work on the biopic. There were rumors that many actors had auditioned to play Madonna in the film, including\u00a0\u2018Euphoria\u2019\u00a0stars Sydney Sweeney, Barbie Ferreira, and Alexa Demie. Florence Pugh (\u2018Midsommar\u2019,\u00a0\u2018Don\u2019t Worry Darling\u2019) was also among those looking to tell Madonna\u2019s story on the big screen by playing the \u2018Material Girl\u2019 singer in the film.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All these actors had to be involved in choreography and singing auditions to bag Madonna\u2019s role. Madonna also attended some of these auditions. The title and release date of the biopic is yet to be announced by Universal Pictures but the\u00a0\u2018Inventing Anna\u2019\u00a0star Julia Garner, who also played Ruth Langmore in \u2018Ozark\u2019, has reportedly been offered the role of Madonna, Variety\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2022\/film\/news\/julia-garner-madonna-biopic-lead-role-1235287260\/\" target=\"_blank\">reports<\/a>. Garner has three Outstanding Supporting Actress In A Drama Series Emmy awards under her belt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Teddy Pendergrass<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tyrese Gibson (\u20182 Fast 2 Furious\u2019) is producing and starring as Teddy Pendergrass in a biopic about the Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter with Warner Bros. Lee Daniels (\u2018Empire\u2019), Donald De Line, and Teddy Pendergrass\u2019 widow Joan Pendergrass are executive producers. Sam Taylor-Johnson (\u2018Nowhere Boy\u2019,\u00a0\u2018Fifty Shades of Grey\u2019) is set to direct the film.
