DJ Mag’s annual gathering to recognize the best of Britain’s fantastic homegrown talent has announced the winners of its 16th edition. <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Celebrated British electronic music magazine DJ Mag<\/a> has announced the winners of its annual Best of British awards, recognizing and rewarding the finest homegrown talent coming out of the United Kingdom. Acting as a counterweight to the influential brand’s Top 100 DJs poll, The Best of British Awards pays homage to the UK underground, responsible for the most innovative music we hear today. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

After a one-year pause in 2020 due to the pandemic, the 2021 edition of the awards were held in a virtual setting. This year’s awards, however, were slated to go down at the famous Steel Yard in London, hosted by Jamz Supernova. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 16th edition of the awards began with dance music sensation Fred Again… being awarded Best Live Act<\/strong> for his exploits this year at venues across Europe, North America, and beyond. The Best Live Act award was followed by the coveted Best DJ<\/strong> award, which was handed to Patrick Topping, chief of the Newcastle-based forward-thinking label, TRICK<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The man behind Eliza Rose’s seminal hit ‘B.O.T.A – Baddest of Them All’ – Interplanetary Criminal – bagged the Best Producer Award <\/strong>while jungle revivalist Nia Archives won Breakthrough Producer<\/strong> after the trailblazing last 12 months she has had with her music. Moving on, the illustrious XL Recordings, led by Tim Palmer and Nick Halkes, won the Best Label<\/strong> award, followed by UK Garage imprint Shall Not Fade’s sub-label Time Is Now taking home the Breakthrough Label<\/strong> prize. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Best Track without a shadow of doubt was awarded to Eliza Rose and Interplanetary Criminal for charting ‘B.O.T.A – Baddest of Them All.’ London-based DJ\/producer TSHA won the Best Album<\/strong> award for her ‘Capricorn Sun<\/a>‘ LP, and Michael Bibi was awarded Best Remix<\/strong> for his rework on the Solid Grooves Records hit ‘La Murga<\/a>.’<\/p>\n\n\n\n
