Lyrically, the composition plunges into the terrible events of the COVID-19 era through the lens of the virus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-4-3 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Doom&#039;s My Religion\" width=\"702\" height=\"527\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Syj3JO8GAzQ?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:1px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The artist submits, &#8220;When looking back, the pandemic feels like a bad dream we were all collectively stuck in. We lost people, time, and in a way- ourselves. Atleast some part of it. Doom\u2019s my religion is COVID-19 personified.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;The song was written in 2021, right after the third wave of the virus. I think everything was so all-encompassing at that time that when Ayan played me the piano idea and beat, it immediately clicked and visually played out in my head. It was almost as if I was the sadistic spokesperson of this destructive force.
