Indie music scene stalwarts Jehangir Jehangir, Aria Nanji,<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ticketfairy.com\/word\/2023\/05\/06\/tfword-in-conversation-with-zohran-miranda\/\" class=\"ek-link\"> Zohran Miranda<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ticketfairy.com\/word\/2022\/04\/30\/international-jazz-day-with-rhys-james-of-bombay-brass\/\" class=\"ek-link\">Rhys Sebastian<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ticketfairy.com\/word\/2023\/07\/07\/nate08-drops-groovy-house-track-inna-minute\/\" class=\"ek-link\">Nathan Thomas<\/a>, and a surge of additional talents have their names also etched into the film&#8217;s music credits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Sunoh | The Archies | Zoya Akhtar | Agastya, Dot., Khushi, Mihir, Suhana, Vedang, Yuvraj | Ankur T\" width=\"702\" height=\"395\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/9ozRrelI7jc?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><em>&#8216;Sunoh&#8217; &#8211; The Archies<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;Being a pop culture and avid comic book reader myself, it was a real pleasure to be Archie\u2019s singing voice for the first-ever film adaptation,&#8221; Tejas says. \u201cIt was definitely the biggest commercial project I\u2019ve ever worked on yet, and the transition from independent music to playback singing was definitely challenging but was made extremely comfortable by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy and Ankur Tewari. Also jumping between Hindi and English was tricky especially since I had a majority of the singing in the OST, but I think my familiarity with rock \u2019n roll made it easier.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tejas&#8217; multi-lingual vocals are tracked on upbeat numbers &#8216;Sunoh,&#8217; \u2018Va Va Voom,&#8217; &#8216;Jab Tum Na Theen,&#8217; the somber ballad &#8216;Yeh Saari Aawazein,&#8217; as well as on the jazzy ditty &#8216;Asymmetrical&#8217; (performed with musician Aditi Saigal, best known as Dot., who also portrays Ethel in the film.) &#8220;&#8216;Asymmetrical&#8217; was probably the one I was most comfortable with because I was working on Dot&#8217;s music, which was far more in my territory,&#8221; notes Tejas. &#8220;I tried to put a little Michael Buble crooning in there.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8216;Sunoh,&#8217; which was released in October, and &#8216;Va Va Voom&#8217; are two of the film&#8217;s most popular tracks, gaining wide praise and traction on streaming platforms. Discussing the themes of the songs, Tejas&#8217; explained, &#8220;&#8216;Sunoh\u2019 and &#8216;Va Va Voom&#8217; are the big singles from the film so those had to have a lot of energy and effervescence in the delivery, and I just tried to invoke this Shammi Kapoor &#8216;Teesri Manzil&#8217; (1986)-vibe for &#8216;Va Va Voom\u2019&#8217; while &#8216;Sunoh&#8217; was just kind of a straight pop vocal.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Va Va Voom | The Archies | Zoya Akhtar | Agastya, Suhana, Khushi, Vedang, Mihir, Dot., Yuvraj\" width=\"702\" height=\"395\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/zIpNenQzkxc?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">&#8216;<em>Va Va Voom&#8217; &#8211; The Archies<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Helmed by filmmakers Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti, &#8216;The Archies&#8217; is a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ticketfairy.com\/word\/2022\/06\/06\/brands-and-entertainment-2022-recap-and-highlights\/\" class=\"ek-link\">Tiger Baby Production<\/a>, the same production house that offered audiences a musical-drama film about the rap scene in India, &#8216;Gully Boy&#8217; (2019).
