It is not easy to imagine a Bollywood film without any song or a dance sequence. Many hit songs have made Bollywood films successful. <\/span><\/p>\n

That is why most of them are equated with musicals, as they have songs and dance sequences to carry the plot or make them more entertaining. Some even have ‘item numbers’ to attract a larger audience.<\/span><\/p>\n

However, some movies have taken a plunge to avoid including songs or dance sequences in them. We will discuss ten such films that are not musicals in our listicle.<\/span><\/p>\n

Iqbal\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n

Iqbal<\/a> is an excellent movie that tells the tale of a young boy from a remote village who is hard of hearing and without speech. He has a passion for cricket and dreams of playing on the Indian cricket team. <\/span><\/p>\n

He takes a step toward it by seeking training from an alcoholic (a role played by Naseeruddin Shah) who was once a great cricketer. <\/span>This 2005 film is an emotional movie where you watch Iqbal (a character played by Shreyas Talpade) strive for his goals even with the many obstacles in his path that only get worse to achieve because his father disapproves of it. Iqbal’s director is Nagesh Kukunoor.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Kundan Shah\u2019s black comedy, Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro<\/a> is a satire on bureaucracy and corruption. It is a cult classic starring Naseeruddin Shah, Ravi Baswani, Bhakti Barve, Satish Shah, Om Puri, Pankaj Kapur, Satish Kaushik, Neena Gupta, Ashok Banthia, etc. <\/span><\/p>\n

In this 1983 film, two friends – Vinod (Naseeruddin Shah) and Sudhir Mishra (Ravi Baswani) start their photo studio and are eventually employed by a newspaper editor of “Khabardar” to expose the scandalous activities of the rich and famous. <\/span><\/p>\n

They start working with the Editor on a story exposing some shady dealings. One day, they accidentally photograph a murder and must fight to reveal the guilty.<\/span><\/p>\n
