Drum and Bass India kicks in its 12th anniversary celebrations with an emphatic three-day Bangalore Massive showcase, sprawled across multiple venues in Bengaluru<\/a>, Karnataka. Built through an exploration of drum & bass in India, the community will also observe a dual celebration, toasting the 3rd anniversary of Bangalore Massive! Scheduled from March 7 to March 9, this affair bundles together over 20 DnB aficionados, pop-up carts, merchandise stalls, a healthy serving of sound system culture, and more. Friday, March 7, sees the Bangalore Massive coalition invade Indiranagar Social, while Saturday stamps the programming at Koramangala Social, and the finale slots in at JP Nagara Social for a Sundowner Party.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rattling the avant-garde line-up, acts plastered currently include Aayna, Blu, Chan, G.S.T, Hellkitty, HUNNIT D, Indraa, Insowmya, Kampai, King Sinister, Master Shifu, Savethefvce, Shivhari, Soiri, Stinger, Type: C, Vachan Chinnappa, and DnB India’s co-founder, The Untitled One.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Glancing at a few artists on the bill, Aayna is known to drop sways of acid house, breaks, and UKG, while London-based Blu delivers a melange of drum & bass shaken with funky, deep, rolling, techy, and dark grooves. Kampai’s sessions roll out servings of hip-hop, Baile funk, UK garage, dubstep, and drum & bass.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DJ\/producer Insowmya, who had torn down Mumbai’s AntiSocial for Boiler Room, refuses to be limited to a specific genre and experiments with various styles to forge her own brand. Rapidly rising on the Indian electronic spectrum, her productions are often doused with plucky synth bass textures, hard-hitting bass drums, and lush rhythmic flows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
