The local tastemakers have roped in the mighty QZB<\/strong> and one of DnB\u2019s finest vocalists, Charli Brix<\/strong>, for the epic show taking place at Mala Mia<\/strong> on April 5<\/strong>. SNOWH!TE, Brookie, Amorositie, Bright Eyed, MC Pab and many more will be on support duties. The Swiss DnB titan QZB<\/strong>\u2019s appearance at Mala Mia comes as part of their upcoming Australia & New Zealand tour. The duo comprising Thomas and Ben will be stopping by in Auckland, Christchurch, Melbourne and Perth before concluding their trip in Adelaide. Co-headliner Charli Brix<\/strong>, a multi-genre singer-songwriter, DJ and one of the most celebrated vocalists in drum & bass, will also be heading to this gig for the final stop of her NZ\/AUS tour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This Day to Night party boasts a stacked line-up of immensely talented supporting artists. Amorositie<\/strong>, Patch<\/strong>, Rusha<\/strong>, Qzyphus<\/strong>, SNOWH!TE<\/strong> B2B BROOKIE<\/strong>, Batch <\/strong>and Zealous <\/strong>are on the artist card alongside Syntax<\/strong>, zandr<\/strong>, Lottie B<\/strong>, and Bright Eyed<\/strong>, host of The Ones and Twos on Fresh 92.7. MCs for the night are DJ\/producer, radio host and promoter Pab<\/strong>, DnB and jungle ESS BEE<\/strong>, drum & bass MC Pase<\/strong> and G-Swift<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We spoke to Amorositie<\/strong>, the creator of Wicked Lickwid, ahead of this drum & bass bash. \u201cAs one of the promoters running this event, Wickid Lickwid aims to run holistic and inclusive music events in Adelaide, particularly bringing the soulful and deep style of Liquid Drum and Bass to the scene. This show has fantastic representation and is a collaboration between three Adelaide promoters, two of which are women making waves in the local EDM scene. It will be an epic day to night party showcasing excellent UK artists with the best Adelaide DNB supports,\u201d said Amorositie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Amorositie has supported the likes of DJ Flight, Ed Rush & Optical, Visages, Roni Size, and more, as well as played a number of gigs across Adelaide. The South Australian DJ\/producer and radio host added, \u201cBeing one of the support artists under my alias Amorositie is personally significant because the headliners have shaped my expression as a DJ and musician. You can expect vibey, groovy and beautiful liquid from me leading into our first headliner, a massive inspiration of mine, Charli Brix.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWickid Lickwid is an emerging promoter brand running international and local shows in the bass music scene, and runs monthly open decks nights at Ancient World with the aim to nurture the DJ community in Adelaide,\u201d she explained. \u201cThe Manager’s Office support the scene with their regular live steamed DJ sessions and local events, creating new spaces for emerging artists. AirDNB is a long-standing events brand booking world renowned Drum and Bass artists in Adelaide.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DnB and tech house DJ SNOWH!TE<\/strong>, who is set to go B2B with drum & bass DJ BROOKIE, gave a sneak peek into her upcoming set. She said, \u201cFor this event I\u2019ll be playing B2B with Brookie (@brookielit<\/a>), and we\u2019ll be closing the night. We\u2019re planning to focus on high-energy dancefloor DnB aiming to carry through the energy built across the lineup and close things out in a way that fits the night.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a lineup I have a lot of respect for. Being on the same bill as QZB and Charli Brix, alongside the local artists involved, is something I\u2019m really grateful for. I\u2019ve spent a lot of time at airDNB, TMO and Wickid Lickwid events and with all three involved in this one, it\u2019s a strong team behind the night. We\u2019ll be closing the show together, bringing high energy and good vibes to keep the crowd moving after QZB and Charli Brix. Zandr<\/strong> will be kicking off the night in style with Lottie B, and he offered a glimpse of what to expect from their B2B set. He said, “My forthcoming b2b set alongside the lovely selector, Lottie B, will consist of the liquid sound we love most.” Diving deep into what makes liquid drum and bass the sound it is today, Lottie B and I are very excited to represent a flavour of DnB which has seemed to slip away from the mainstream in recent years. As we are playing an opening set, we will most likely not play as heavy as the rest of the crew, but fear not! Our sound is sure to provide attendees with a wicked start to what will be an incredible party! Personally, I am very excited to play music released on labels such as; TNQ (The North Quarter), Integral Records, Critical Music, Hospital Records, Metal Headz, and many more.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
