Since its inception in 2013, Maarten Smeets and Lars Dales have meticulously curated a catalog that bridges the gap between the dusty foundations of Chicago and Detroit and the polished, forward-thinking sounds of the modern European club scene. This landmark release stands as a reflection of the label’s long-standing commitment to soulful, forward-thinking club music and the community that has formed around it over the past thirteen years.

The ‘House of House‘ compilation is a vibrant tapestry of nineteen brand-new tracks that capture the highest quality of contemporary house music. The compilation unites foundational figures, underground favorites, and a new wave of emerging talent, with contributions from revered names including Kerri Chandler, Louie Vega and Josh Milan under their Two Soul Fusion moniker, alongside Folamour, Cinthie, DJ Sneak, and Supershy, the dancefloor-focused alias of Tom Misch.

Musically, the compilation stretches across the many shades of house music that Heist Recordings has championed since its inception. There’s a deep reverence for classic club culture running through cuts like Dam Swindle’s ‘Back To The Old School’ featuring DJ Minx and Kolter’s groove-laden ‘Need U, Want U,’ both steeped in the warmth and swing of vintage house records.

The compilations also dive into rich soulful territory through the jazz-infused elegance of Kerri Chandler’s ‘Kerriousity’ and the lush musicality of Supershy’s ‘Pyrenees,’ while tracks such as Papa Nugs & Mixolydian’s ‘Let Go’ and Elisa Elisa’s ‘Coco Coco’ inject the project with peak-time energy primed for packed dancefloors and festival moments alike.

‘House of House’ reflects the ethos that has defined Heist since day one: a home for house heads who bring genuine soul to club music, whether they’re legendary originators or new-school up-and-comers.
