For Mental Health Awareness Month, wellness nonprofit organization Blackline has shared its EDM Mental Health Toolkit<\/a> for EDM acts, especially touring artists. This guide can be accessed by all with no charges and offers advice on how to pack, self-care strategies, nutrition, venue safety, sobriety, substance use, hearing health, harm reduction, and more. \u201cIt\u2019s a resource that meets this community with real, practical support. We see firsthand how demanding this space can be and tools like this are essential for empowering artists and industry professionals to look after themselves and each other,\u201d said<\/a> LP Giobbi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMusic is therapeutic, but in live electronic it\u2019s also a lot of late nights, early mornings, sets until sunrise and then flying to the next city,\u201d Backline co-founder and executive director Hilary Gleason says<\/a> in a statement, as per Billboard. \u201cBackline is committed to taking care of the artists and community who are so generous with their time and talent, and we designed these tools to meet the EDM scene where they are with specific resources for their unique needs.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to this guide, Backline launched a 24\/7 mental health and crisis support line called B-Line<\/strong> for industry professionals. More than 250 people have reached out to the support line since its launch earlier this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
