Vinderne ved den 73. Primetime Emmy Awards 2021

Med livebegivenheder tilbage er årets største tv-aften – Emmy-uddelingen – braget i gang på Microsoft Theater i Downtown Los Angeles.

Komikeren og skuespilleren fra CBS-sitcomserien ‘The Neighborhood’, Cedric The Entertainer, var vært ved prisuddelingen og åbnede aftenen med en karaokefortolkning af “Just a Friend” med hjælp fra Rita Wilson, LL Cool J og Lil Dicky.

Både den populære Netflix-serie og prisuddelingssæsonens favorit ‘The Crown‘ samt ‘The Mandalorian‘, der streames på Disney+, modtog hver 24 nomineringer. ‘WandaVision‘ – det første Marvel Studios-projekt, der blev nomineret til en Emmy – ‘The Handmaid’s Tale‘ og NBC’s ‘Saturday Night Live‘ var alle nomineret til over 20 Emmy-priser. Apple TV’s overraskende hit – ‘Ted Lasso‘ – var heller ikke langt efter med 20 nomineringer.

I denne streamingtjenestedrevne tid løb Netflix med flest priser, da den største vinder, ‘The Crown‘, hjalp med at sikre det højeste samlede antal blandt alle netværk og streamingtjenester ved at tage 11 statuetter med hjem, inklusive priserne fra Creative Arts Emmys. ‘Ted Lasso’ var også en stor vinder, og HBO’s ‘The Mare of Easttown’ og ‘Hacks’ gjorde sig bemærket.

Mens ‘WandaVision’ endte med at vinde tre Emmyer ud af sine 23 nomineringer, blev Michaela Coel den første sorte kvinde til at vinde en Emmy for manuskriptforfatterskab med sin dybt personlige limited series – ‘I May Destroy You’.
