Bass-driven French duo Dirtyphonics make way for Auckland’s nightlife haven Pointers on November 22, 2024—the first show on the road of their impending tour of Australia and New Zealand. The Paris-based electronic dance music outfit, led by members Charly Barranger and Julien ‘PitchIn’ Corrales, set off on a five-city tour of Australia and New Zealand, with concerts announced for Auckland, Christchurch, Perth, Sydney, and Brisbane thus far. Tickets to Dirtyphonics’ show in Auckland are brought to you by The Ticket Fairy.

Mended by Sail Away events – the masterminds behind Diagnostix and TANTRON’s recent visits to Auckland, Dirtyphonics is the next to take the stage and introduce its electro, bass, dubstep, drumstep, and drum & bass sound to the Pointers crowd.

Roaring onto the electronic space in 2008, the DJ/producer pair have crafted a stellar reputation for themselves remixing works from Skrillex (‘Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites’), The Chainsmokers (‘Closer’), Linking Park (‘Lies Greed Misery’), and Kaskade (‘Last Chance’), to list a few.

In addition to performing at several electronic music festivals this year, their pair dropped their twelve-track album ‘Magnetic‘ via Monstercat Records, reeling collaborations from Micah Martin, Bossfight (Erik Bjärngard), and Samy Beyou best known as Samplifire.

Auckland’s buzzing local talent pool never fails to bolster the line-up card, this gig is no different belting out five supporting acts. Listed on warm duties are Tofu Shop, DnB maverick Brooklyn Schofield under Boogz, UKG/trap ace Jessie Furner who goes by HENRI, Peak Havoc, and EDENNA – known to pour out bass-house, trap, and dubstep music all over the dance area.

Speaking with us ahead of the show, Bre Burgess aka EDENNA communicated, “Dirtyphonics are the kings of dubstep and drum and bass—can’t wait to see what they bring. Auckland bass fam, get your tickets now to avoid missing out!”

“I’ll be taking you on a full bass journey—starting with hard-hitting bass house, building into trap and topping it off with high-energy dubstep, plus a touch of my signature nostalgic EDM,” stated the electronic music enthusiast, providing a glimpse of how her set will unravel.

EDENNA also put the spotlight on the venue and promoters, expressing, “Pointers has always been special to me (it was one of the first venues I played!), so it feels amazing to be back, especially working with Sailaway who keep the scene alive, bringing international acts our way.”
