Fortified by the biggest names in jungle and drum & bass music with support from premium sound systems, The Jungle Weekender is poised to overrun the Panama Club and live events space Akhnaton in Amsterdam.
Stitched together by four of the biggest names in DnB, jungle, dub, and reggae music—Jungle Mania, Rompa’s Reggae Shack, and Drum & Bass Classics—the line-up features the likes of British jungle/drum and bass producer DJ Hype, Dillinja, Scottish jungle DJ/producer Mrs Magoo, junglist Brockie, Uncle Dugs, Bryan Gee, John B, and many more.
A look at the complete schedule reveals two boat parties, an official afterparty, and two colossal-sized presentations of DnB/jungle revelry at the nearly 1000-capacity waterside warehouse club Panama. Rompa’s Reggae Shack captains a 250-capacity cruise vessel on Saturday, March 8, with duo Iration Steppas, Uncle Dugs, King Yoof, DJ Dansey, and Daddy Nature docking the music. Sunday’s 600-capacity jungle boat party shapes up with Brockie, DJ Rap, Nicky Blackmarket, Uncle Dugs, and Darren Jay.
John B leads the roster on day one, March 7, alongside Aphrodite, Jumpin Jack Frost, Bryan Gee, Darren Jay, Aphrodite, Mrs Magoo, and DJ Twista. MCs Spyda, MC Det, Fearless, Mose, Boxer Banton, and Deefa are set to rule proceedings. Dillinja, Micky Finn, DJ Rap, Kenny Ken, Micky Finn, Aries, DJ Inter, Kalia, T-Cuts, and Demolition Man (performing a live set) are all slotted in for the concert on Saturday, March 8, with MCs GQ, Shabba D, Ragga Twins, Inga, and 2Shy.
The official after-party kicks in at multipurpose venue Akhnaton, Amsterdam, guided by Kleu, Promo Zo, R-Type, Scoundrel, Doni K, and Jazzy Dubz, to name a few.
