Saroj Kashyap- ‘With You’
Bengaluru-based storyteller Saroj Kashyap paints a poignant acoustic canvas smeared with bleak hues of sorrow, despair, and anguish on ‘With You.’ Wrapped in a gloomy motif, the artist enriches the tune with mellow singing, delicate guitar plucks, and gentle percussion arrangements. Produced, mixed, and mastered by Joel Sakkari, the song structure sways a melancholic arrangement into a vibrant indie melody, enhanced by powerful vocal harmonies and purposefully stapled voice clips.
“‘With You’ is about grief, regret, and the weight of things left unsaid. It’s the feeling of wanting to go back and do things differently, say the words you never did, be the person you couldn’t be… while knowing deep down that it’s too late,” stated Saroj via press release.
“It’s not just about losing someone, but about the pain of unfinished conversations and the quiet hope that maybe, in some other universe, they still hear you.”

The Besharams – ‘Puraani Bimaari’
Portrayed as a “sad rock” outfit, the newly formed The Besharams, comprised of singer-songwriter Janisht Joshi and multi-instrumentalist Aashay Khot, squeeze out ‘Puraani Bimaari,’ the lead single of their impending debut eponymous EP. The duo aims to twine together styles of rock bands like Radiohead and The Strokes, along with indie-folk artist Phoebe Bridgers and ‘cold/mess’ fame Prateek Kuhad on this outing.
The Besharams conceal their sadness, dismay, and heartache behind their constant goofiness in ‘Puraani Bimaari.’ Overlooked by producer Ayan De, the pair delivers a dreamy soft rock/slowcore motif pinched with a bluesy guitar riff.

Kairose – ‘Where the Nights Befall Early’
New Delhi-based pop duo Kairose, comprised of musicians Vasudev Singh and Apoorva Malik, strap on a futuristic synthwavey texture to their pop sound on their newest single, ‘Where the Nights Befall Early.’ Constructed as “a story of searching for meaning in small moments,” the music delightfully illustrates a hazy motif of love, allure, mystery, and fleeting instants sketched with atmospheric themes and introspective lyrics.
The tune exudes a chill-pop, chillwave vibe paired with a glossy indie sound, and each artist trades lush vocal segments that poignantly enliven its deep lyrics and the minimalistic approach in production. Adding sight to sound is artwork devised by Ella K, which sees the pair in a parked car stationed outside a Chill Pop Store.

Ehsaas – ‘Nindiya’
Ahmedabad-based indie rock band Ehsaas captures feelings of yearning, attachment, love, and long sleepless nights on their new Hindi worded release, ‘Nindiya.’ Speckled with invigorating violin patches by Arham Shah, a creamy guitar solo, and a trace of tabla setup, this emotive ballad is noted by soothing keyboard structures and tranquil vocal textures.
Ehsaas described ‘Nindiya’ as “a reflection of that universal feeling of waiting for a loved one and how every moment feels both slow and meaningful. This song is deeply personal to us, capturing the essence of sleepless nights, love, and the hope of a loved one returning.”

Vaani Bhasin – ‘pages of regret’
Singer-songwriter Vaani Bhasin puts forward “a love letter to what could have been” on her fourth song release titled, ‘pages of regret.’ Drenched in themes of unspoken feelings and overlooked opportunities, Vaani straps her honeyed vocal chops onto a flowing guitar melody seasoned with electric guitar traces, mild percussions, and bright key segments. Produced by in-demand musician Timothy Thampy, patched in are soothing cello string arrangements that construct a flawless soundscape for this acoustic pop tune.
“I wrote this song for a friend I saw after years apart. As soon as he left my apartment, I was flooded with emotions I had never fully confronted. I sat down with my diary and poured out everything I never said—pages and pages filled with regret. That moment became the essence of ‘pages of regret,’ expressed Vaani Bhasin via a press note.
