Phase Records DNB Drops ‘Geometry’ Loaded With 13 Tracks for Every Taste

UK-based drum & bass imprint Phase Records DNB launched the first chapter of its compilation trilogy ‘Geometry,’ featuring 13 tracks pulled from the label’s core roster of resident producers and close affiliates.

‘Geometry’ firmly sets the tone and vibe for Phase Records DNB’s 2026 direction, rounding together a flurry of DnB, minimal, neurofunk, jungle, and jump-up styles into one spellbinding, high-octane collection that packs a powerful punch.

On this record, the title points to geometry as something sacred to humanity, long seen as a way to understand patterns, people, and creation itself. Music, too, carries that same sense of purpose and intention. As the label explained via press note, “We believe music holds the same level of sacredness and for similar reasons. We believe that no matter who you are or where you come from in the world, music bonds and serves as a universal communication of feelings. A way to express. A way to relate and build community.”

“That’s the theme, that’s the driving idea… on this first chapter in our new VA Trilogy, we have 13 tracks which offer something a bit different in their own right but also drive the common goal of innovation, communication and integrity.”

Coming out all guns blazing is the piping hot opening track from HØST called ‘Never Change,’ crammed with gritty and techy flows. Next up, the momentum carries into SiDDALL and MC Freddy B’s ‘Head Straight,’ a dark, minimal, grimy DnB concoction.

Ripping through the frenzied soundscape even further is Newcastle-based producer Hexa with ‘Air Raid,’ a bass-forward, thrilling cut that keeps the energy locked in. Label head Gifta drives forward ‘Any Which Way,’ a nearly five-minute belter forged with moody breaks, rolling grooves, and an infectious throbbing bass line.

Keeping the adrenaline high is ‘Technology’ from Charis, which pulses with wobbling bass rumbles and slick electro flares. Edinburgh’s Ominous also logs in to conjure a rattling club-ready mix-in, ‘F* Around.’

Bristol-based producer Kenna storms through with ‘Higher,’ switching up the tempo with a menacing display cobbled together from sinister synths, jerky gloomy beats, and a cunning DnB rhythm. Subcortex concludes the album with ‘Akaza,’ a potent DnB mix whose orchestral-style opening, emotive synths, twisted breaks, jostling jump-up jolts, and serene liquid undertones swirl together to offer an epic finale.
