France’s icy Rise Festival returns for its 12th edition this year, scheduled for December 5-12. Stemming from the sky-touching ski resort Les Deux Alpes, it offers up numerous snow-covered activities along with spectacular music and fantastic views.
Keeping with the themes of twelve, Rise Festival recently unveiled its dozen names as part of its phase one line-up. It is deliciously crammed with lethal doses of drum & bass, UKG, jungle, house, dance pop, and underground music.
DJ and music producer Sub Focus features on the card, flanked by vocalist-producer A Little Sound, UK garage and bass force Oppidan, and minimal house frontrunner Chris Stussy. DnB mavericks occupying slots on the card include Sota, K Motionz, and Harriet Jaxxon.
Tech and deep house pulses roll in courtesy of East End Dubs, while Hannah Laing brings in her brand of high-energy techno, hard-house, and trance flavors, referred to as doof sound. Singer and songwriter Jazzy, UK garage/junglist Badger, and Dutch house act Locklead round up the first batch of artists on the card.
