Matanza kicked off 2023 with a DJ set at this year’s Micro Outdoor Fest. They’ve had gigs in Chile and have taken the Micro Festival Electroetnico, Pura Festival, and Diguillin Fest 2023 stages. They also shared their tunes at the Santiago Rooftop Patrimonial Session this year. Prior to their appearance at LooLoo Studio, the Chile-based outfit will be heading to the Samadhi Festival this weekend for a live set in Merida, Mexico.

Matanza’s latest musical offering is ‘Susurro (Matanza Remix).’ Their discography includes two incredible albums – their ten–track debut album ‘Dubamerica,’ which was released in 2012, and a thirteen-track self-titled record ‘Matanza’ that came out in 2018.
Formed in 2009, this Chilean band combines drum and bass, Charango strings, jungle sounds, and Andean flutes into their music. Last year, they dropped ‘Aburrido (Matanza Remix),’ ‘La Fiesta de San Benito (Matanza Remix),’ and ‘Malembe (Matanza Remix).’
DJ/producer and label manager Rafiko has been tapped to support Matanza at LooLoo Studio later this month. This isn’t the first time Rafiko will be getting behind the deck at this venue, having impressed attendees with his mind-blowing performance last year too.
You don’t want to miss this gig at LooLoo Studio! This Mexico nightclub is noteworthy for hosting renowned talents and some of the biggest names from the dance music scene. LooLoo has already welcomed greats like Carlita, French house DJ/producer Sébastien Léger, Einmusik, Ukrainian DJ Miss Monqiue, Rodrigo Gallardo, and German DJ/producer and songwriter Boys Noize.
