Unluv’s New Release ‘Rutururu’ Explores Love and Heartbreak

Music producer and singer-songwriter Shubham Agarwal, best known under the moniker of Unluv, lifts the curtain on his upcoming EP ‘heartbroken spaceboi,’ by offering a profoundly personal exploration of love and emotional fragility in ‘rutururu.’

Released under the Mumbai-based label Robach Music Group, Unluv’s ‘rutururu’ lays the foundation for his upcoming EP. The song was written in 2020, hauling inspiration from personal experiences with its multi-lingual lyrics (English and Hindi) describing tumultuous occurrences. The piece tells the story of meeting a girl, expressing feelings, and engaging in subsequent dialogues.

‘rutururu’ is a nifty desi-alt-pop single doused in a dreamy, daze-inducing chorus hook. Stretching two and a half minutes, Unluv’s production seamlessly blends the vocals and pop-infused melody. The track is mixed and mastered by producer, singer, and songwriter Sahir, who mentored Unluv virtually.

In a clever piece of songwriting, the title ‘rutururu’ is winched in by an impromptu term that emerged during the composition process. Unluv states that “he wanted to portray the song and the story in its very first essence of falling in love.”
