Ribble Valley’s four-day extravaganza Beat-Herder music festival has revealed its full weekend line-up for 2024, looping in groundbreaking DJs, buoyant live acts, rollicking comedians, and tons of surprises.
The UK’s multigenre Beat-Herder music festival, now in its seventeenth year, will reside at the scenic Ribble Valley in Lancashire, England, from July 18 to 21, 2024. Hosting twenty stages and undoubtedly offering something for everyone, the promoters have unveiled the UK’s electronic duo Leftfield (Neil Barnes and Paul Daley), dance music great Orbital (Phil and Paul Hartnoll), and drum & bass maverick Sub Focus presenting his latest piece of artistry, Evolve, as the headliners.
English electronic music duo Utah Saints (Jez Willis and Tim Garbutt) make yet another appearance at Beat-Herder, smashing through the Ring Stage. Bass head Charlotte Devaney, DJ Emma, producer High Contrast (Lincoln Barrett), the ‘bother-er of beats’ Mooquee, and up-and-coming deck ace Grace Garcia, who returns to Beat-Herder after a jolting debut last year, also feature as part of the Ring Stage line-up.
Bristol’s nine-piece jazz/R&B/soul crew Cut Capers, known for their soaring high-energy performances, make way for Lancashire on the back of their eleven-track ‘Sightseeing & Short Negotiations’ album. Their name features on The Beat-Herder Stage card, sitting beside reggae goliaths The Wailers, heavyweights Dub Pistols, and Dutty Moonshine Big Band, famed for fusing UK bass with jazz.
Rattling through the rest of the 2024 roaster, musicians announced include electronic force Youngr, folk songwriter Jay McAllister aka Beans on Toast, DnB act Venbee, singer Eva Lazarus, electronic group Crazy P, electronic/rock band Henge, house artist Denis Sulta, techno DJ Floorplan, drum & bass legends Fabio and Grooverider, Future Bounce label head Jamz Supernova, masked act GHSTGHSTGHST, breakbeat garage pioneer Zed Bias, and veteran DJ Andy Carroll to name a few.
