Local live music hotspot The Grand is gearing up to host Wellington-based DJ/producer duo The Upbeats for their 20 Year Anniversary show on August 9, 2024. From 10 PM onwards, you will be treated to dancefloor-heating music and captivating sets at this gig. The tickets for The Upbeats’ 20 Years Anniversary festivities in Wellington are powered by The Ticket Fairy.
The Upbeats have had an illustrious 20 years in the music business and have attracted listeners from far and wide. They’ve also brought their music to sought-after festivals including Glastonbury, Boomtown, Shambhala, EDC, Outlook, and many more. With both dancefloor bangers, as well as tunes that you can vibe to anywhere, The Upbeats’ discography has something for all kinds of moods.
This year, the duo released ‘Say My Name’ with Flowidus, shared a Trinist Remix of their collaborative track ‘Shibuya Pet Store’ with Dutch DnB trio Noisia, and a remix of Mefjus’ ‘Stay’ feat. Blocksberg. In addition to these releases, they also graced This is Living and Locus Bali 2024.
Wellington’s premier underground events and promotion company Breaking Beats announced this gig in late June, saying: “20 Years of The Upbeats…What a journey for our local DnB Hero’s… Taking over the globe with their unique sound repping Aotearoa! We are stoked to have been on this journey with them.. From TSB Arena – Shed 6 – McEwan park and even a rave on the iconic Cuba street. Now its time to take it back to the club to celebrate this epic 20 year adventure! We have some special things planned for this one…”
