Auckland’s The Last Stand Music Festival returns to the lush grounds of Waima Reserve, Titirangi, on April 6, 2025. Experience the conclusion of the summer months with the community-driven, indie-focused boutique festival scheduled to take place in the foothills of the Waitakere ranges, featuring an exciting mix of emerging and established acts. Tickets to The Last Stand Festival 2025 in Auckland are available from Ticket Fairy.

On the bill are Kiwi alternative/indie rock crew Ha the Unclear, folk outfit Tiny Ruins (solo set with Hollie Fullbrook), singer-songwriter ISLA with her supporting crew The Kindred, and Elisa.

80s-inspired sibling electro-driven synth-pop band Brother Sister, who returns to perform at The Last Stand after making an impression at the inaugural festival edition in 2023, further shapes the artist card. Consisting of Dave Thomson, Taz Thomson, and Ben Thomson, they are recognized for their energetic live performances and nostalgic sound. They arrive on the heels of releasing their rendition of David Bowie’s ‘Magic Dance,’ initially released in 1986.

As it is a Whanau or family-friendly day-long showcase, children aged 12 and under can enter for free, subject to an adult ticket purchase. Gates open from 2 PM onwards. The name for this musical gathering was pinched from the remake of the silent film ‘Rewi’s Last Stand’ (1925), which was filmed in Waima, Titirangi, and released with sound in 1940.
